Cie Studios Moves Baltimore Office to Historic Bagby Furniture Building

BALTIMORE, Md. (Oct. 13, 2010) – Cie Studios (www.CieStudios.com), a developer of interactive applications for business, today announced that it is expanding its office space by moving into the city’s historic Bagby Furniture Company Building.

Headquartered in Long Beach, Calif., Cie Studios first opened an office in Baltimore in 2004, to work closely with East Coast clients in Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and New York City.   Cie Studios clients include Pioneer Electronics, Scion, Volkswagen and Epson.

“The demand for custom mobile apps and interactive social tools is growing, and there’s a lot of opportunity since we’ve been doing interactive development for 12 years already,” said Jennifer Walter, VP of Production and head of Cie Studios’ Baltimore office.  “We’re growing, we’re hiring and we needed more space – and the Bagby Building and neighborhood are a perfect fit.”

The new office space will feature the Bagby Building’s reclaimed wood beams as an art installation in the reception area.  Exposed brick, glass conference rooms and an open “bullpen” work area give the space an ambiance that inspires creativity and collaboration.

Cie Studios applies 12 years of experience in interactive services to create business applications that incorporate social and gaming principles to increase usability and engagement.  The company is developing custom business applications for multiple platforms including the web, Android, iPhone, and other mobile devices such as the iPad.  Its current product is a “social” channel management tool that lets companies with dealer networks manage online training, efficiently disseminate information, coordinate rewards programs and foster multi-way communication.

As part of its involvement in the Baltimore community, Cie Studios is sponsoring Mac’s Team in the Baltimore Running Festival on October 16.  Mac’s Team raises money for Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD).
