Cie Studios Names Jennifer Walter VP of Production

BALTIMORE, Md. and LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 26, 2010) – Cie Studios (www.CieStudios.com), a developer of interactive applications for business, today announced that Jennifer Walter has been appointed vice president of production.  Walter is based in Baltimore, and heads the company’s Baltimore and Long Beach offices.

Walter has been with Cie Studios for more than 10 years, growing with the firm as it consistently remains on the forefront of emerging interactive development.  She has helped develop next-generation interactive solutions for Scion, Pioneer Electronics, Nitto Tire, DreamWorks and more.

Walter was instrumental in the company’s development of a groundbreaking product visualization tool – its own patent-pending server-side 3D product visualization technology.  She also worked on game-based corporate training programs, multi-player online games, and mobile applications years before the terms “apps” and “social games” became a part of the interactive vernacular.

Today, Cie Studios applies 12 years of experience in interactive services to create business applications that incorporate social and gaming principles to increase usability and engagement.  The company is developing custom business applications for multiple platforms including the web, Android, iPhone, and other mobile devices such as the iPad.  Its current product is a “social” channel management tool that lets companies with dealer networks manage online training, efficiently disseminate information, coordinate rewards programs and foster multi-way communication.  Walter has helped Cie Studios transition that custom-built channel management solution into a product that can be licensed by companies of all sizes.

“We’ve learned a great deal from working with various clients and seeing their common challenges over the years,” said Justin Choi, Cie Studios founder and president.  “Most solutions don’t take into account usability and user psychology, and as a result, a lot of money is spent on software that is never fully used or exploited and a lot of ROI is left on the table.  By applying the lessons we have learned in building social apps, we build corporate tools that people actually want to use.  Jennifer’s years of experience producing a wide range of interactive projects uniquely qualifies her to manage the production of our next-generation business apps.”

“Companies have relied on us to help them take maximum advantage of digital opportunities,” said Walter.  “We’re now taking the lessons learned from developing custom applications to create solutions that we can deliver on a software-as-a-service model, with the ability to customize for the unique needs of each client.  We used to solve problems for individual clients.  Now, we create products that solve problems for entire industries.”
